Kyle Reinhardt Notches his Second Win with URC at Port Royal Speedway

PORT ROYAL, PA – Kyle Reinhardt parked it in victory lane with the Capitol Renegade United Racing Club on Tuesday July 3, earning his second victory of the year with the club, and giving Reinhardt his first ever win at Port Royal.

Twenty-nine cars made the trip out to Port Royal for the Tuesday night Speedweek show, all eyeing the twenty four starting sports available for the feature event. Several driver’s including Reinhardt, Lucas Wolfe, and Steve Buckwalter were pulling “double duty” for the night, competing with both URC and the 410 sprints.

Steven Drevicki and Reinhardt redrew the front row and led the field to the green for the 25-lap main event. Before the field could complete one lap there was a large mishap in turns 3 and 4 sending Mike Walter II on his roof, and collecting cars such as Kyle Smith, Mallie Shuster, and the man who sits second in points, Josh Weller. The field reset for the green and completed all 25-laps caution free with Reinhardt leading from green to checkered with Mark Smith, Steve Buckwalter, Jason Shultz, and Lucas Wolfe rounding out the top five.

When asked how it feels to get his first win at Port Royal, during speedweeks, Reinhardt said “it feels great…There is always a lot of cars here and stiff competition…Port’s not an easy place to win so it feels good.” Reinhardt is no stranger to victory lane, however he feels as though starting on the front row “definitely helps” but believed his guys gave him a car strong enough that he could have started “three or four rows back and still had a shot.” Competing in both the 410’s and with URC played in his favor as he had “twice as many laps as almost all the 360 guys” which enabled him to learn a lot and bring that knowledge with him to victory lane

Reinhardt, formally of Neptune, NJ made the move out to Pennsylvania to advance his racing career and it has proven to be a good move for the 25 year old. He would like to thank his crew and sponsors of the Westbrook Enterprises no. 1W, Central Builders Supply Company, dlHeiges Electric, and Seth Racing Engines, and SRT Shock Services.

Curt Michael was the receiver of the KSE Hard Charger award for the second week in a row powering his machine from a twenty-second starting spot to finish 14th. The B-main was won by Mike Walter II, and heat race wins went to Derek Locke, Kyle Reinhardt, and Mark Smith.

It is a quick turn around for the drivers of the Capitol Renegade United Racing Club as they move to Selinsgrove Speedway for the July 4th holiday, where many drivers look to park their machines in victory lane at the most visited track on the URC circuit.
