American Ethanol Late Model Tour Coming To Cherry Raceway
Lake Odessa, Michigan (Tuesday, July 6th, 2015): The American Ethanol Late Model Tour will be back in action at the fast 3 / 8 (0.375) mile high banked oval of Cherry Raceway on July 10. This will be the first time that the tour has been to Cherry Raceway and there has been 4 different winners this year so far including ( Curtis Roberts, Eric Spangler, Herb Reich, and Brandon Thirlby ). All the winners are all in the top 10 in points.
Going into Cherry Raceway Eric Spangler holds a slim 5 point lead over runner up Richard Neiser with 262 points. Brandon Thirlby who sits 3rd in the points picked up the win at Mt. Pleasant Speedway on June 26th by taking the lead on lap 38, he has won numerous track championships at Cherry. Will Neiser take over the points, or will Spangler or Thirlby take advantage at a familiar track.
Track regulars Greg Gokey,Derek Thebo, Andy Nickerson III, Steve Nieuwenhuis, and Jacques Julin are among top 5 in points at Cherry Raceway. Watch these track regulars take on tour regulars. Who will be next to victory lane or will we have a repeat winner. Also on the program will be the Stock Cars, Warriors and Young Guns. The Pit gates open at 5:00pm and the grandstand gates open at 6:pm. Qualifying will take place after hot laps. Racing will be start at roughly 7:30pm.
