Brian Bell Doubles Down With Lucas Oil Southern Outlaw Sprints
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (July 2, 2016) Schedule 50 laps, split into two, with a full invert for the second round, Brian Bell turned the tide from a DNF on Friday night and beat the odds.
Pretty much betting it all on black, the Tennessee shoe walked away with $1,000 for leading at the close of the first 25 Lap segment. Starting at the tail, Bell tore through the field to add another $1,500 to his night at Lap 50. Throw in the parlay, and Bell added another $500 for a grand total of $3,000.
Towing 4.5 hours to the Hattiesburg Speedway, Bell’s twin trips to Victory Lane brings his career Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprint win total to three in the FSR No. 23.
For the first 25 laps, Bell was chased to the line by Shane Morgan with Butch David, Michael Miller, and Ryan Moore making up the top-five. In the second round, Bell and Morgan were again one/two with Joey Schmidt, Shawn Murray, and Kyle Amerson racing into the top-five.
Sixth through tenth in the first 25 Lap affair was Joey Schmidt, Lee Moore, Terry Witherspoon, Shawn Murray, and Clint Weiss. For the second go, it was Michael Miller, Terry Witherspoon, Trisan Lee, Clint Weiss, and Brandon Blendon.
