OHIO GASMAN WINS THE FINAL RACE OF THE 2023 SEASON

In Waynesfield, Ohio, the final 2023 appearance of the Great Lakes Super Sprints presented by Engine Pro & ARP took place at Waynesfield Raceway Park. What a great night to end the 2023 season. Unfortunately, it was cold and sprinkling most of the time, but our racers really know how to perform!! We want to thank the fans for sticking it out in the cold and watching some great racing of a 31 car field!

The victor of the night was "Ohio Gasman" Phil Gressman from Fremont, OH, who drew the second position in the redraw. Luke Griffith from Sandusky, OH, secured the pole position, while Kobe Allison from Lima, OH, began in the third spot. Gressman was able to take the lead right at the start and hold his own the rest of the race! It was a close run between Griffith and Gressman, until about half way into the race Griffith has trouble on turn three falling of the back of the track with his wing flying in the air. Fortunately, Griffith did not sustain any serious injuries. In the final laps Gressman had secured his 1st place spot, and it for a battle for second and third. Kobe Allison finished second and Nate Dussel from Bradner, OH, finished 3rd.

Impressive performances were also seen by Nick Sheridan from Mount Brydges, ON, who earned the Hoosier Racing Tire Hard Charger award by advancing from 17th place to 10th. Sheridan also got lucky winning tonight's B-Main race. Additionally, Jason Blonde from Litchfield, MI, had the privilege of being named the Engine Pro Lucky Dog of the night.

During the qualifying rounds, Nate Dussel from Bradner, OH, delivered an outstanding performance as the Ti22 Performance Fast Qualifier, posting an impressive lap time of 11.027 seconds. Ryan Ruhl from Coldwater, MI, secured the second spot with a lap time of 11.153 seconds, followed closely by Chase Dunham from Leipsic, OH, with a lap time of 11.260 seconds.

Ryan Turner from Dunnville, ON, emerged as the winner in the Engler Machine & Tool Heat 1. Griffith, secured the victory in the Howard Johnson by Wydham Heat 2. D The third Heat Race, presented by Engine Pro, was won by Kobe Allison from Lima, OH. Devon Dobie from Wapakoneta, OH, takes home Heat Race 4 presented by Specialty Fuels and Logistics.
