Mark Burch Motorsports and Lasoski Pocket Three Top 10s During Opening Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 27, 2016) – Mark Burch Motorsports earned a top-10 finish during all three events the team competed in last weekend.
“I’m glad to see Mark Burch back out racing,” said Danny Lasoski, who is in his sixth season of driving for the team. “He’s done a phenomenal job. He basically had to rebuild the program after the storm last fall that flipped his trailer over.”
The team kicked off last weekend’s action on Thursday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., during a Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints event. Lasoski finished where he started – fourth – in a heat race, which locked him into the 18th starting position for the main event.
“We didn’t get enough cars passed in our heat race,” he said. “In the 360s it’s hard to pass when there’s a lot of grip in the track. We seem to go better when the race track widens out.”
It did in the main event as Lasoski charged from 18th to a sixth-place result, which garnered the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.
Mark Burch Motorsports ventured to Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., the ensuing night. Lasoski maneuvered from fifth to second place in a heat race to make the feature redraw, where he pulled the No. 6 to start the main event on the outside of the third row.
“The track was pretty fast so it was tough to pass,” Lasoski said. “We did the best we could and that was third.”
Lasoski’s third-place result gives him a top-five finish at the track during each of the last six years.
The weekend concluded on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway, where a mechanical problem opened the night.
“The power steering blew up in hot laps so the guys had to thrash to change it,” said Lasoski, who qualified 17th quickest before ending second in a heat race.
That lined the team up on the inside of the eighth row for the main event.
“The track was fast throughout the night and into the feature,” Lasoski said. “We didn’t get the result we wanted, but it was great to be back racing with Mark and the team. We have some things we can build on for the 360 Knoxville Nationals coming up.”
Lasoski rallied from 15th to an eighth-place finish. He recorded the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.
Mark Burch Motorsports is scheduled to return to action Aug. 4-6 at Knoxville Raceway for the 26th annual Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals.
Also, Mark Burch Motorsports would like to thank everyone who supported the Team Jack Foundation by purchasing a unique t-shirt. All sales of the apparel will go to the Team Jack Foundation. The t-shirts will be available at each race Mark Burch Motorsports contests throughout the season.
