Inside Line Promotions – GREENWOOD, Neb. (Aug. 29, 2016) – Mark Burch Motorsports registered its ninth top-10 finish of the season last Friday at I-80 Speedway.
Danny Lasoski piloted the team to a sixth-place result during the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints event at the high-banked track to continue the streak of finishing in the top 10 during every 360ci winged sprint car race this season.
“Winning is everything to both of us, but we both understand we can’t win every time,” Lasoski said. “Mark works hard to give me a car capable of winning and I’m proud of the progress this team has made throughout our races together this year.”
The event began with Lasoski finishing where he started – second – in a heat race. That advanced the team into the feature redraw, where Lasoski pulled the highest number – eight – to start the main event on the outside of the fourth row.
“We were running fourth and on the last restart our nose wing got knocked down so we were just hanging on,” he said.
Lasoski battled for a top five throughout the feature before placing sixth.
Mark Burch Motorsports will return to action this Friday and Sunday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., for the AGCO Jackson Nationals with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.
“Jackson has been one of my favorite race tracks,” Lasoski said. “It’s a phenomenal track to race at and with the upgrades Tod Quiring has done there it has become a great track.”
Lasoski drove to a third-place result during his lone 360 start at the half-mile oval this season. He also placed fifth last year, second in 2014, ninth and fifth, respectively, in 2013 and second in 2012.
