POWRi Midget & Micro Teams Heading South for Two Annual Races This Weekend
Belleville, IL. (10/11/2021) The Lucas Oil POWRi National & West Midget Leagues will join forces as a whole this weekend to take on the Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner State 55, as well as the Charlene Meents Memorial. Alongside the POWRi Midget Leagues, the Lucas Oil 600cc Micro Sprint League Presented by Engler Machine & Tool will also be in attendance for the weekend.
Thursday, October 14th the teams will travel down the road and head to Tulsa, OK. to start the weekend off at Port City Raceway for The Second Annual Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner State 55. Last year, the driver to take home the Victory for the Midgets was none other than Logan Seavey out of Sutter, CA. As for the Micro League, Chris Andrews went back to visit victory lane.
I-44 Riverside Speedway will host the Seventeenth Annual Charlene Meents Memorial Friday, October 15th and Saturday, October 16th. Last year for the Memorial Race at I-44, the track produced a different winner each day on the POWRi Midget side, as well as the POWRi Micros. Cannon McIntosh became victorious on night one, and Daison Pursley on night two. Trey Robb and Bryant Wiedeman both picked up wins with the Lucas Oil POWRi 600cc Micros to close up a three-day race weekend.
