MIDGETS & MICROS EYE “SHOW-ME NATIONALS” AT SWEET SPRINGS, LAKE OZARK

BELLEVILLE, ILL. (May 18, 2019) – A pair of relatively young POWRi tracks will be under the spotlight this weekend as a Memorial Day tripleheader engulfs the state of Missouri. The “Show-Me Nationals” are slated for back-to-back nights at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Sweet Springs, Mo. on Friday and Saturday, May 24-25 with a Sunday, May 26 show at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. to conclude the Missouri trifecta.

Visiting the Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex on Friday and Saturday, the POWRi National / West Midgets will be on display for back-to-back nights. Joined alongside the POWRi Outlaw Micros, fans will be treated to two thrilling shows at the Sweet Springs 1/6th-mile. Friday’s appearance will mark the second race in POWRi history at Sweet Springs, with the first and only previous event coming on July 7, 2006, with Brady Bacon topping the field.

On Sunday, May 26, the POWRi Lucas Oil National / West Midgets take centerstage at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway. Making the third appearance in league history, the only two previous showings came in September of 2018 with Tucker Klaasmeyer and Logan Seavey snagging wins.

Logan Seavey, the 2017 POWRi National Midget champion, enters atop the standings with 1,520 points on the strength of three early-season victories. He is trailed by Jake Neuman (-190) of New Berlin, Illinois, Tucker Klaasmeyer (-240) of Paola, Kansas, Christopher Bell (-360) of Norman, Oklahoma, and Tyler Thomas (-370) of Collinsville, Oklahoma.

Andrew Felker of Carl Junction, Missouri brings a 320-point lead into the weekend for the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midgets as he is followed by Trey Marcham (-320), Logan Seavey (-590), Cannon McIntosh (-620) and Hank Davis (-640).

For the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Outlaw Micro League, a pair of Missouri natives head back to their home state locked in a dead tie for the points lead. Joe B. Miller of Millersville, Mo. and Gunner Ramey of Sedalia, Mo. both enter with 1,810 points apiece and will do battle over two nights at Sweet Springs. Miller and Ramey are followed in points by Kaylee Bryson (-310), Riley Goodno (-330) and Harley Hollan (-550).
