MAYHEM AT MONARCH GOES TO MARCHAM ON NIGHT ONE
WICHITA FALLS, TEX. (September 6, 2019) – The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League made the trek down to Wichita Falls, Tex. on Friday night as the “Mayhem at Monarch” took center stage at the Monarch Motor Speedway. When the dust settled, it was Trey Marcham of Oklahoma City, Okla. coming out on top as the winner of the 20-lapper.
Pacing the field in the opening half, Steven Shebester of Mustang, Okla. had control of the race lead until a mechanical issue bit his No. 22X entry and forced him to the infield near halfway. From there, Marcham was large and in charge as he guided his No. 32 machine to yet another POWRi West Midget triumph.
Steven Shebester (Smith Titanium Heat 1) and Andrew Felker (Keizer Wheels Heat 2) split heat race wins, while Blake Edwards (Saldana Racing Products Qualifier 1) and Trey Marcham (Rod End Supply Qualifier 2) shared qualifier wins.
The POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League is back at Monarch Motor Speedway tonight Saturday, September 7 for the finale of “Mayhem at Monarch.”
