The 2nd Annual Prelude to the Hustle
Belleville, IL (6/16/2020) Ready to resume racing in Illinois on Saturday, June 20th, the POWRi Engler Machine and Tool 600cc Micro League take on the famous Southern Illinois Raceway in Marion, Illinois. For the first time in 2020, the stands will be open to spectators.
POWRi Engler Machine and Tool 600cc Micro League are offering $100 to start and $1000 to the winner. With over 70 cars in attendance at last year’s Prelude to the Hustle, Marion, Illinois native, Jake Palmisano came away with the feature win. The last time the POWRi Micros attended SIR on October 12, 2019 BJ Gatewood stole the win. Other big-name hitters who have won at the technical track in Southern Illinois are Joe B Miller, Dereck King, and Harley Hollan. Restrictors, Jr. Sprints, Mod Lites and Dwarfs will also be in attendance at Southern Illinois Raceway this coming weekend.

Pits Open – 3:00 PM
Driver Registration – 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Drivers Meeting – 5:45 PM
Hot Laps – 6:00 PM
