Johnny Boos Boasts Hot-Streak to Fourth Consecutive POWRi RMLS Feature Win

Belleville, IL. (06/28/2020) Fifteen cars would make the trip to El Paso County Raceway in the fifth race of the 2020 racing season for the POWRi Lucas Oil Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Series on Saturday, June 27th. After a heated battle for the top spot, the familiar face of Johnny Boos would claim the night and continue his regional lightning sprint dominance.

Spirited lightning sprint battles would break out at El Paso County Raceway with the Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Series as #17 Dave McCray and #24B Johnny Boos would both put on a display of their driving talents. With McCray leading most of the race and as the laps ticked away on the feature event, #24B Johnny Boos would mount a charge and take the win, notching his fourth feature victory in a row. Chris Crowder #26 would take advantage of a prime opportunity in the last couple of laps to also make the pass to finish second. McCray would round out the podium finishers with a great showing the entire event. Dakota Dillin #39 and Josh Flood #7 would have their own race within the feature, swapping positions several times with Dillin placing fourth and Flood fifth. Two heat races were required in the early stages of RMLS racing this past weekend, won by #39x Dakota Dillin and #26 Chris Crowder.
