POWRi Lightning Sprint Weekly October 7-8
Belleville, IL. (10/9/22) Positioning a triad of outstanding open-wheel prospects possible for the weekend, the POWRi Lightning Sprint Division continues to wrap up the seasonal quest of Inaugural National Championship infamy with the Rocky Mountain and Southwest regions running. With only a pair of Southwest racing weekends remaining, the father-son Truscinski duo attempt to remain atop the championship picture with Alex leading his father Alan heading into the final few events of the yearly competition.
Feature winners would include all-time win-count leader Johnny Boos Friday in the Rocky Mountain two-day weekend at I-76 Speedway to secure his thirty-sixth career POWRi feature victory as Chris Crowder secured victory Saturday to notch his twelfth career POWRi win. Southwest Lightning Sprints would see patriarch talent Brent Sexton push his career win count to seven while wrapping up the racing weekend at Mohave Valley Speedway.
