Colt Treharn and Caleb Stelzig Win Weekend Features with POWRi NMMRA at Aztec Speedway
Belleville, IL. (6/11/23) Aztec Speedway would welcome the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association for a two-day weekend of speed and non-wing adrenaline attractions as Colt Treharn and Caleb Stelzig would reign victorious within the series.
Starting Friday at Aztec Speedway for night seven of the POWRi NMMRA 2023 season would find Spencer Hill and Michael Fanelli earning the heat race wins with last week’s winner JR Bonesteel pocketing the Night-One high-point qualifier honor.
Going green flag feature racing on Friday would find Bonesteel on the inside and Fanelli on the outside of the front row as third-starting Colt Treharn would put together the winning technique by holding the front of the field in the twenty-lap main event.
Earning the feature win Treharn notched his first series win of the season and fourth of his career on Night one, as second-starting Michael Fanelli would finish a close runner-up with fourth-starting Don Grable racing into placing a solid third. Sixth-starting Spencer Hill would finish fourth with pole-sitter JR Bonesteel rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association at Aztec Speedway on Friday.
Finalizing the weekend double-header at Aztec Speedway for night eight of the POWRi NMMRA 2023 season would witness night one winner Colt Treharn and Caleb Stelzig each earn heat racing wins with Colt Treharn gaining the Night-two high-point qualifier award.
Feature racing on Saturday would see Treharn on the inside and JR Bonesteel on the outside of the front row as defending champion Caleb Stelzig would return to his winning ways from starting fourth to finishing at the front of the field in the twenty-lap main event.
Earning the feature win to notch his fourth series win of the season, Stelzig would reign supreme on Night-Two as third-starting Don Grable would finish runner-up with JR Bonesteel placing a solid third. Seventh-starting Travis Oldfield would finish fourth with Spencer Hill rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association at Aztec Speedway on Saturday.
