POWRi Safety Hosts Trackside Training Event with Donnellson Emergency Responders
Belleville, IL (5/22/24) POWRi Racing is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive Trackside Safety Training event, hosted by Ralph Browning and Howard, attended by the dedicated members of the Donnellson, Iowa Fire Association and Lee County EMS. This training session took place in preparation for the highly anticipated POWRi Racing 410 Outlaw Sprint Series Hawkeye Hustle at Lee County Speedway.
"We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Young and the local emergency responders for their participation and commitment to safety," said Ralph Browning, Director of POWRi Safety. "Their dedication and expertise are vital to ensuring the safety of our drivers, teams, and fans. Events like this are essential in preparing for the high-paced action of racing events."
The event, held at the Donnellson Iowa Fire Association and Lee County EMS, focused on enhancing the skills and knowledge of local emergency responders to ensure the highest level of safety during race events. Special thanks to Cole Helmerson for providing his sprint car, which allowed participants to gain hands-on experience with real-world racing scenarios.

• NFPA 610 Awareness Level Certification: Equipping responders with essential knowledge for managing emergencies in motorsports.
• POWRi Racing Race Procedures: Detailed overview of event protocols to ensure smooth and safe operations.

• Dirt Track Hazard Identification: Recognizing and mitigating common hazards associated with dirt track racing.
• Sprint Car Construction: Understanding the structure and mechanics of sprint cars to facilitate better rescue operations.
• Common Injuries Associated with Open Wheel Dirt Car Crashes: Identifying and treating injuries typical to this type of racing.
• Specialized Tools and Equipment: Training on the use of specific tools for driver extrication.
• Fire/Rescue with AR-AFFF Foam Application: Techniques for handling fire emergencies with advanced foam application methods.
