Duperron Captures NSA Series Season Opener at Castrol Raceway

Inside Line Promotions – EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada (May 28, 2018) – Marc Duperron was victorious during the season-opening race for the North-American Speed Association last Saturday at Castrol Raceway.

Wet weather washed out the first doubleheader of the season earlier this month and forced NSA Series officials to call Friday’s event at Castrol Raceway only nine laps into the main event. However, Ginga Ninja Dirt Promotions and NSA Series officials hustled through Saturday’s program before rain returned.

Duperron held off Sean MacDonell for the top spot with defending series champion Casey Adams rounding out the podium. Kyle Evans placed fourth and Trevor Turnbull ended fifth.

Turnbull kicked off the night by setting quick time during qualifying. Wade Fleming, Adams and Kelly Miller were the heat race winners.

The NSA Series will be idle this weekend before returning to Castrol Raceway on June 8-9.
