Lancaster Keenly Focused On Competitors as Nu-Way Auto Parts 150 Approaches

Announcement of Increased Purse & Pit Road Improvements

Lancaster, NY (July 25, 2023): While there is plenty, it’s not only fanfare for the Nu-Way Auto Parts 150 scheduled for Saturday, August 5 at Lancaster Motorplex in Lancaster, NY. Speed Enterprises Entertainment and Lancaster Motorplex are keenly focused on the safety and satisfaction of the competitors of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour as well.

Thanks to the generosity of an unnamed supporter, the purse for the Nu-Way Auto Parts 150 has been increased to guarantee $2,000 to start.
“We are honored to have supporters who simply care about racing and the success of this event,” said Mike Myers, owner of Speed Enterprises Entertainment and special consultant to Lancaster Motorplex for this event.

In addition to the strong purse, a lucrative lap program is also up for grabs. The top-three drivers of all sponsored laps will split $100 in memory of Zachary Hackett, the late son of Myers. “With his love of racing, the lap sponsorship felt like the best way to honor Zach’s memory. Lap sponsorships are available for $100 with all proceeds going to the drivers,” said Myers, who is personally spearheading this program.

For this dynamic group, the success of this event is not predicated only on making the fans happy.

“At this level, the stars pay and get paid to put on the show,” said Myers. “We owe it to the competitors to give them the best possible purse, the best possible venue and the best possible atmosphere. We are working hard on that.”

When the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour teams arrive they will see a notable difference in the infield at Lancaster Motorplex. Phase I of a two-phased project to extend pit road will be completed. The first phase of the project will find the entrance to pit road relocated to turn three.

Phase II, which will be completed in 2024, will have cars exiting pit road to reenter the track on the backstretch.

“We need to thank County Line Stone and Brainard Transportation for their help and hustle to get phase one done in time for the Modified Tour event,” added Myers, who’s enthusiastic about this update for weekly competitors and other events down the road.

The Nu-Way Auto Parts 150 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is scheduled for Saturday, August 5. In addition to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, the race card also includes Sportsman, 4-Cylinders and Street Stocks. Advance tickets are available at SeetheEvents.com.
