Setters Searching for Third Triumph of Season Saturday at Electric City Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho (June 29, 2021) – James Setters has a new hunger entering the next Rocky Mountain Sprint Car Series event this Saturday at Electric City Speedway.

Setters was passed for the win during the most recent event at the dirt oval in Great Falls, Mont. It marked the first time during an impressive streak throughout the last two-plus seasons that he was passed for a spot atop the podium.

“I can’t wait to go racing again,” he said. “He got me late in the race there. He’s obviously fast so I need to step it up to beat him.

“This was the first time I got passed. I just made the wrong move with lapped traffic and he got by me.”

Setters has won 11 of the 14 series races since the start of the 2019 season. Each of the last two years he was unable to win just one race, but both times it came after starting deep in the field. This time traffic opened the opportunity for someone to get by Setters and it happened, which has lit a new fire under Setters entering Saturday.

“I think in traffic I can improve,” he said. “I set up my line before I get to them. I think if I waited a bit more I could get by them quicker when trying to lap someone.”
