Season to Start May 30 for the 6E

FROM THREE TO NONE

(May 18, 2020)

Thanks for checking in with Eric Blumer Racing LLC. Yes, Eric has set up an LLC thanks to Attorney Dennis Sieg.

We have not posted a schedule yet, for obvious reasons. We will do so when things become clearer, as the pandemic has canceled all of our races thus far and there is only one firm date on the schedule at this point.

This weekend, May 22, 23 and 24 had promised to be an exciting one for the team as there was the potential of three races in three nights. One in Davenport, IA and then at Beaver Dam Raceway and lastly 141 Speedway.

Davenport is actually racing, but dropped Legends from the card due to the high volume of cars in the other classes slated to take the track, which cause curfew concerns, according to their website.

Via a Facebook message, Beaver Dam as advised that this Saturday, May 23, is off, but they will start the season on May 30. We thank BDR for being the leader in getting teams on the track and a model for procedure and communication during the pandemic.

141’s reply was slightly more cryptic, so we’d encourage you to check their media pages for exact details. Also, via a Facebook, 141 Speedway posted on Sunday night, May 17, “As of now no we are not running.” ( On Sunday May 24). This would seem to indicate the decision isn’t totally written in stone. But, we’re going on the presumption that the race is off.

As always, our other focus is Angell Park Speedway. APS indicates via their website: “Angell Park is evaluating the 2020 schedule as the COVID-19 situation continues to develop.  We intend to have as many races as possible this season, with future re-scheduling soon to be determined as we continue to monitor this situation closely with public health officials and medical experts.
As part of our commitment to keeping you informed, we will send out updates on the upcoming races two weeks prior to scheduled events.”  This takes them to opening no sooner than June 7. We'll let you know on that race when we know.

Going forward, we’ll tell you where we are running week to week, until schedules are more solidified. As always, we need you to check various track’s sites for official details and changes.

One good thing coming out of the pandemic, is Eric has been home for a couple of months and as with all UW system students, is schooling from home. It’s going well and he’s ready for break so he can start his summer job. Being home has allowed Eric and the crew to take their time in rebuilding the 6E.

Short of putting a new body on and lettering the car, it is set thanks to the test sessions Beaver Dam Raceway offered.

We couldn't do it without our sponsors and we send a huge thanks to: BRS Manufacturing, Machine and Fabrication; Northern Air Systems, Inc.; Grandpa Blumer; Dog Guard of Wisconsin LLC; Club Lamark; Storage and Handling Systems, Ground Up Lifts and Bulls Eye Games.

Thanks to the those who have had a hand in car prep thus far in 2020, including Crew Chief Justin Hoium, Mike Hughes, Joe Wipperfurth, Greg Leatherbeary and Brady Kruchten.

Thanks again for your interest in EBR LLC!
