2024 Midwest Legends Dirt Series Presented by Legends.Direct Season Preview

Beaver Dam, WI (March 29th, 2024) - The inaugural Midwest Legends Dirt Series Presented by Legends.Direct season is set to kick off in just 1 week at the legendary Beaver Dam Raceway. With 21 races on the schedule, countless drivers ready to race, and many big-name sponsors coming on board, the first season is shaping up to be one for the history books. Let's take a look at what is to come in the season!

The season will start early in April, at the aforementioned Beaver Dam Raceway. A 2-day event, April 5th and 6th, will see the series be one of the classes in the track's Frostbuster event. With early points on the line, drivers will need to shake off the winter rust fast if they want to start the season off on the right foot. Fans of the series will be able to catch all the racing on DirtVision.

It’s a one-month break for the series before they make their first of three visits to the historic Angell Park Speedway on May 19th, to help the Badger Midgets and IRA Sprint Cars open the track for the season. The series will make its first of two stops at 141 Speedway in Maribel, WI on May 26th. Running alongside the IRA Sprint Cars, fans will be able to catch the action live on FloRacing. The series will return to Beaver Dam Raceway on March 31st for night one of the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial, alongside the Greatest Show on Dirt, The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

Night two of the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial on June 1st at Beaver Dam raceway will kick off a barnburner of a month for the series, with five races scheduled. June 7th will see the series’s only trip to Chilton’s Gravity Park. The small bullring will test even the best drivers and put on a great show. The MLDS will visit Beaver Dam Raceway again on June 15th before a big, two-day trip to the west. June 28th will see the series visit Lafayette County Speedway for the first of two races at the venue, before making the hour-and-a-half trip to Iowa’s Maquoketa Speedway. The first of three visits to the 3/8 mile track will see the series team up with the track's many IMCA classes to put on an awesome show.

The series will kick off a jam-packed July with another visit to Angell Park Speedway on July 14th. Beaver Dam Raceway will host the start of a big, three races in eight days stretch, on July 20th, with the first quick turnaround of the week being a mid-week trip to Maquoketa Speedway for a great night of Fair Night Racing and a big $1,000 payday for the winner. The series will then head back to Angell Park Speedway on July 28th, for race number three and end the month of July.

August will see the series return to Lafayette Speedway on August 2nd for some great racing, and then a quick run south for the final trip to Maquoketa Speedway for the season. The series will make its one and only trip to the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds and the Plymouth Dirt Track on August 17th for a big night of racing. August 25th will wrap up the month, with the highest-paying race, a humongous $2,500-to-win race at Benton County Speedway in Iowa set to pull in some big names for a ginormous night of big-money racing.

September will host the final three races of the season, with a doubleheader weekend on the tap first. Outagamie Speedway will host the first night, on September 13th for a big, seven-class night. A day later the series will return to 141 Speedway for another great night of racing with the IRA Sprint Cars. The season will wrap up its inaugural season at Beaver Dam Raceway for the final time, with a champion set to be crowned for the first time.

The series will have many big awards for drivers throughout each race and the entire season. Prizes include a buy-one-get-one Rim by Aero Race Wheel certificate for each race winner throughout the season. Rush Racegear by Austin Witt will be giving out two certificates a night, one to the feature winner and one to the hard charger each night. HMS Motorsports will be giving away one Sentry Receiver Device to a random driver outside the top 5 each night.

The series would like to thank all of the sponsors who have come on board for the season. Legends.Direct will be the presenting sponsor of the series and have put a ton of work in to get the season going. Other sponsors include but are not limited to Sunset Auto Service, who will sponsor the payout for the race at the Plymouth Dirt Track. Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation, sponsor for one of the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial nights at Beaver Dam Raceway.

With over 15 drivers committed to the season already, the inaugural Midwest Legends Dirt Series Presented by Legends.Direct season is already shaping up to be an epic season.
