Midwest Legends Dirt Series
MLDS Ready to Rock 141 Speedway
West Allis, WI (May 24th, 2024) - The Midwest Legends Dirt Series Presented by Legends.Direct is locked and loaded for round two of the season, at the ever popular 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wisconsin. After a monster first race of the season, the series is ready to bring the excitement to another track.
Built in 1960, the 1/3-mile dirt track actually started out as a 1/4-mile asphalt oval and was converted to dirt in 2010. The track is known for its “Creek” events, which pits some of the best of the best in IMCA divisions against each other. The track has hosted legend races in the past, with many of them featuring close finishes and amazing races. The track will play host to the MLDS twice in 2024, with the first race being chosen as a Regional Qualifier.
Jackson Lewis comes into the race as the points leader after picking up the win at Angell Park Speedway just a few days ago. Jordan Miklas comes into the weekend with an incredible run of form, with his last five races being 1 win and 4 2nd place finishes. Other drivers to keep your eyes on include Payton Jones, who picked up a heat win at Angell Park Speedway, Charlie Spoonmore, who was having a good run in his heat at Angell Park Speedway before hitting a rut and breaking his front end, and Adam Meyer, who moved up nine positions during the previous feature.
The series will once again join the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints this weekend, and also race alongside the IRA Lightning Sprints and IMCA Sport Compacts. The pits are scheduled to be opened at 3:00pm as well as the grandstands at the same time. Racing is set to start at 6:00pm. If you can’t make it to the track, action will be live on FloRacing, with live timing available on the MyRacePass app and live updates throughout the night on Facebook.
