MLDS Prepare for Huge Weekend
West Allis, WI (May 30th, 2024) - The Midwest Legends Dirt Series Presented by Legends.Direct is ready to get back to racing this weekend at Beaver Dam Raceway, a part of their huge Jim Boyd Memorial weekend. This will mark the first trip for the MLDS to Beaver Dam Raceway after the season opener back in April was snowed out. Thanks to Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation and Legends.Direct, the event will have a larger purse than normal.
The layout of the event will look a little different than what a normal race would due to the track’s curfew, other classes racing, and the series car count. Friday will consist of the joint hotlap/qualifying session, with all of the heat races also taking place. Saturday will see the cars return for the single B-Main or two B-Mains if necessary, and the big money A-Main. It was a decision made between the track and series to switch to this style event due to the aforementioned reasons.
Drivers to keep an eye out for include points leader Jackson Lewis, who has swept the wins during the track’s weekly racing. Jordan Miklas sits second overall in points at the track and is inches away from picking up his first series A-main win. Two drivers who are locked into a battle during the track’s weekly points standings are Charlie Spoonmore and Brady Ascherien, who have both had good runs this season and look super competitive heading into the weekend.
The MLDS joins the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars and Minnesota Micro Sprints in action both nights. Action will be available to view on DirtVision both nights, with live timing available on the MyRacePass app and live updates throughout the night on Facebook.
