MOLLY CHAMBERS PARTNERS WITH MARK IDE TO TAKE ON RAPID TIRE USAC EAST COAST 2019 TOUR

Molly Chambers, of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania has partnered up with Mark Ide in 2019 to follow the Rapid Tire USAC East Coast wingless 360 sprint tour.

Chambers, a 23 year old Penn State graduate and micro sprint veteran, is switching gears a bit to try her hand with a wingless 360. Molly began racing in 2007 in a ‘Slingshot.’ Two years later, Chambers hopped in a micro sprint and fell in love with the open wheel division. She has many heat wins under her belt, as well as a big feature win at the Kutztown Speedway (now known as Action Track USA). Molly also got some seat time at the Erin Crocker Racing School in North Carolina. She has competed in many prestigious events, including the highly sought after Gambler’s Classic (Atlantic City, NJ).

When asked how this deal came to fruition, Molly explained, “I was recommended to Mark as a driver by George Suprick. Mark fields two winged 410 sprint cars, and he was looking to expand into the wingless division. I am grateful for the opportunity and look forward to racing with him this season.”

Although she may be a fresh face to USAC-EC, she isn’t going into this completely green. In 2016 Chambers ran with the NEWS Crate Wingless class at New Egypt Speedway. After taking the 2018 season off, Chambers says she is “more than ready to get back on the track in 2019.”

After releasing the 2019 Rapid Tire USAC East Coast Schedule, more and more buzz has been going around about who will be joining the strong lineup of drivers. Molly explains, “Racing with the USAC series is a dream come true. I am excited to take this step into a larger car and race with high caliber drivers. We have a wide variety of tracks on the schedule so I am looking forward to the diversity and experience that will come with it.”
