In order to finish in the top five of the points in any series in season long competition, consistency is paramount and of the utmost importance. Yet again Christopher Allen found himself finishing within the top three in points on the Rapid Tire, USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series Trail.
While Allen and team did not grace victory lane as they did in 2019, they were all over the front of the field week in and week out. An off season switch to a brand new Maxim chassis wingless car, coupled with another year of speed and consistency had Allen in the points championship hunt all the way into the final series event at the Big Diamond Speedway.
Allen was able to win three heat race events, assisting him in qualifying for all thirteen feature events in 2020, finishing in the top ten in all thirteen feature events, five top five finishes, three top three finishes, and a season best second at the New Egypt Speedway where Allen barley lost out in a two lap shootout to Mark Bitner for the series victory.
Aside from Allen nearly collecting the series victory at the New Egypt Speedway, the teams most impressive run of the season may have been their 9th place finish at the Williams Grove Speedway. The team experienced engine issues all evening leaving Allen with no laps at speed during the evening until the feature event. Allen would start dead last in the feature methodically moving his way from the back into the 9th place position and earning the nights hard charger award.
2021 should look no different for Allen and the CA Motorsports Team as they will look to try and break into victory lane again in series competition, and try to better their points finish by just one position and perhaps be named champion in 2021.
