Lucas Oil ASCS by the Numbers

Bryan Hulbert - Tulsa, Oklahoma (July 16, 2012) With thirty nights of racing having been contested with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV in 2012, a statistical breakdown of the season’s comings and goings is in order.

While a driver’s performance can be measured in several ways in the end everything boils down to points as the ultimate measure of a season.

Jason Johnson currently leads that most important of statistics by 26 over series rival Wayne Johnson. Seeing his advantage cut by 66 points after Wayne Johnson’s back to back wins at Lebanon, Oregon’s Willamette Speedway on July 13th and 14th, both drivers have swapped the points lead six times over the past 30 races.

Brady Bacon currently holds onto third 177 points behind the MVT No. 41. With Johnny Herrera fourth. Currently leading the Brodix Rookie of the Year standings, Brady Loyet rounds out the top five in series points. Tony Bruce Jr. sits sixth with Seth Bergman, Dustin Morgan, Logan Forler, and Gary Wright completing the top ten.
