Rain Claims Sunset Speedway Feature Event

Bryan Hulbert - Banks, Oregon (July 19, 2012) The Feature line-up was set but Mother Nature had other things in store as the rains began to fall just as the line-up was being read over the public address system at Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon.

Coming up against a mid-week 10:30pm curfew along with persistent rains, the decision was made by Sunset Speedway owners to call the night’s 30 lap feature event. All drivers making the night’s feature event were awarded 88 show up points.

Racing with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV continues Friday July 20th with night number one of a Grays Harbor Raceway double header in Elma, Washington.
