Rilat Returning to ASCS Frontier Region Competition in Montana This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – FORT WORTH, Texas (Sept. 16, 2015) – Travis Rilat has earned a top-two finish during all four races in Montana this season.

Rilat returns to “Big Sky Country” this Friday and Saturday with Richard Saumure as the duo will tackle an ASCS Frontier Region doubleheader at Billings Motorsports Park in Billings.

“I’m batting .500 there so I’d like to keep that going,” he said. “Some tracks you hit it hard at and that seems to be one of them.”

Rilat recorded a victory at the 3/8-mile oval during his last appearance and he garnered the Hard Charger Award while finishing second in his season debut at the track.

Rilat is coming off a frustrating outing in his sprint car during the Portacool U.S. National Dirt Track Championship last Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. He charged from eighth into the runner-up position midway through a heat race when a fuel delivery issue in his race car forced him to the pits early.

Not only did it cost him a shot at making the feature redraw, which he would have by placing in the top two after a solid run, Rilat was unable to start the B Main because of the mechanical problem.

“Hopefully things go smoother this weekend in Montana and we continue to run up front there and contend for a couple of wins,” he said. “I know the team will give me a great car.”
