BDS ends 2017 with eighth place ASCS National Owner’s finish

Dupo, IL (December 4, 2017) In 2017, the BDS Motorsports team made their first attempt at following the ASCS National Tour and ended the season with a great eighth place finish in owner’s points. After a few years of racing weekly at the famed Knoxville Raceway and then spending a season racing weekly in South Dakota, 44 races in 25 different states made for big changes on the BDS team. Veteran racer, Justin Henderson started the season in the seat of the BDS #1 car and young gun Giovanni Scelzi closed out the season, with a whole lot of other talented drivers filling in during the summer and fall months. BDS Motorsports would like to first send a huge thank you to all the drivers and sponsors that helped the team compete with the ASCS National Tour all season long.

In 44 races, the BDS team picked up two big wins, coming with Giovanni Scelzi at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa; and Travis Rilat at Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, Arizona just a few weeks back in early November. The team also compiled 14 top five finishes, 27 top ten finishes, 32 top 15 finishes, and 37 top 20 finishes during the year with nine different drivers behind the wheel. From Iowa to Missouri, all the way out to Oregon and a lot of time in Oklahoma and Texas, the BDS Eagle Chassis was competitive each and every night on the track. This is a result of great drivers, great fans, and great partners who have been supportive along the way.

In addition to on-track accomplishments, BDS Motorsports was able to personally meet and greet well over 15,000 fans through their Over the Top Marketing and Promotions business. This season the team also introduced a sprint car themed coloring book and distributed over 18,000 to kids across the country. The entire BDS team was excited to reach fans and show off all of the team’s partners throughout the entire season. Plans are already underway to make next year even better, including the goal of adding new partners to our marketing team.

While plans for the 2018 season have not been finalized, the team is looking forward to once again hitting the road with the ASCS National Tour. In addition to the National Tour, the team will compete in select other races such as the Knoxville Nationals. Be sure to follow BDS Motorsports on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and our website at www.bdsmotorsportsllc.com for updates on our team events.

The 2017 season brought about a lot of changes within the BDS team, but the two things that remained the same were the team’s focus on providing competitive race cars and positively representing all of the team’s great partners. Bryan and the entire BDS Motorsports team would like to thank all the partners that made racing at every ASCS National Tour event possible.
