ASCS Gulf South Returns To Golden Triangle Raceway Park

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (September 11, 2018) The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region returns to action on Saturday, September 15 with the series return to Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas.
Six attempts at taking on the one-third mile oval so far in 2018, the series is .500 going into this Saturday’s event with Channin Tankersley going in undefeated at Golden Triangle Raceway Park.
Speaking of Tankersley, the driver of the OSR No. 17 has picked up five wins in 2018 and leads by 129 points in tour standings over Koty Adams with the next two Saturday’s left to setting out the chase for the championship. Taking the battle, a short way down the road, the season finale will be at Battleground Speedway on Saturday, September 22.
Trailing the two for is Dustin Gates with Harry Yerrington and Caleb Martin, fresh off a weekend sweep in South Texas, making up the top-five.
Saturday, September 15 at Golden Triangle Raceway Park opens at 5:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Along with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region, the lineup of classes will also include R&L Truck Repair Limited Modifieds, MK Construction Rookie Limited Modifieds, Brian Mack Agency Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, and Classic Dwarfs.
Admission is $15 for adults with kids 6-11 admitted for $5 into the grandstands. Kids five and under are free. Golden Triangle Raceway Park is located at 16583 Hwy. 90, Beaumont, TX.
