Close Points Battle Highlights ASCS Frontier Region Championship Weekend

Bryan Hulbert – BELGRADE, Mont. (September 8, 2021) Down to the final two nights of the 2021 season for the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region, the tour rolls into Gallatin Speedway on Friday, September 10 and Big Sky Speedway on Saturday, September 11.

Going into the final two nights, the battle for the season championship is still anyone’s guess. Logan Forler holds command on the tour with 1,858 points earned. Tyler Driever trailing by 39, led the points until a DNF on August 28, allowed Forler to take over.

Looking at third place, Kory Wermling, the Great Falls, Mont. shoe has only 51 points between himself and the championship. Top five in the tour’s last six outings, Kory is riding a wave of momentum into the final two races of the season.

Kicking off the Big Sky Super Nationals presented by Randash Auto Center, the Friday night showdown opens at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for Seniors, and free for Kids 12 and under. The night includes Street Stocks, Super Stocks, and Modifieds. Concluding at Big Sky Speedway on Saturday, September 11, the night is one for the partiers as Rock and Roll meets Dirt Track racing with the Mile 16 Music Fest Featuring The Repeat Offenders (more info on the band at https://www.facebook.com/repeatoffendersparty). Music takes place at 5:30 P.M., and 9:00 P.M. Gates open at 2:00 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Races include Midwest Modifieds and Sport Compacts. Tickets are $30. Big Sky Speedway is located at 11298 Roundup Rd. in Shepherd, Mont.
