Crate Racin' USA
North Carolina-Georgia Double Header Up Next for Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series
(Eastaboga, AL - August 4, 2025) - The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series returns to action this weekend with a two-night double-header that brings the stars and cars of the touring series to two of the Southeast’s most iconic dirt tracks.
Kicking off the weekend, the series makes a highly anticipated return to the Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, North Carolina on Friday night, August 8th, for a $3,000-to-win feature event. It’s been a full decade since Crate Racin’ USA last rolled into the tight confines of the Western North Carolina bullring. Back in 2015, John Ownbey took home top honors in the 40-lap main event. One year prior, dirt racing legend and three-time series champion Ronnie Johnson parked it in Victory Lane.
Joining the Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Models at Tri-County will be a full lineup of regional racing divisions, including 602 Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, and Crown Vics — promising a packed night of racing action.
The action shifts south to Georgia on Saturday night. August 9th as the series returns to the historic red clay of Dixie Speedway in Woodstock. Known as the “Historic Red Clay at Woodstock,” the 3/8-mile oval will host the series for only the third time in tour history, offering another $3,000-to-win feature.
Austin Horton was victorious during the 2024 visit, while Cory Hedgecock won the inaugural series appearance back in 2017. This weekend, a strong field of touring drivers and local standouts are expected to converge at Dixie for another can't-miss night of racing. Local divisions will also be on tap, rounding out a full Saturday evening program.
With five points events in the books, Jeremy Steele of York, South Carolina continues to lead both the overall championship and the Cruise with the Champions Rookie of the Year standings. Defending champion Jimmy Thomas of Phenix City, Alabama sits just 30 points back in second place.
The race for third through fifth remains razor-tight, with Bubba Roling (Clay Hill, FL), Austin Yarbrough (Blackshear, GA), and Matt Henderson (Lenoir City, TN) separated by just six points — and all within 50 markers of the top spot.
Momentum may lie with Joseph Brown of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, who swept both nights at the series’ last stop at Xtreme Speedway in Danville, AL. Though Friday’s race was a non-points affair, Brown’s Saturday win marked his second career series triumph and could signal a strong second-half surge.
