Series Championship Heats up going to Classic Sunday
With just 2 races remaining in the 2022 MRS season the race for the championship is a very tight one with the Top 6 Drivers with-in 20 points of the leaders. Series winning-est Driver Kirk Alexander in car number 76 owned by Norman Perry tied with veteran campaigner Donnie Lashua in the Bateman owned car 17 for the Points Lead. Third place Jacob Perry in the number47 owned by Jack Bateman is just 6 points back after finishing runner-up last year to 2021 Champion Brian Robie. 2021 MRS Rookie of the year Anthony Bello in 4th place just 9 points back in 4th place in the number 2 car owned by Paul French.In Fifth place just 17 points back is Andy Shaw in the David Weir owned car 66. Follow the top 5 is Kevin Iannarelli in 6th 20 out of the lead followed by MRS Rookie contender Mike Collins in car number 02.
They will face some tough competition next Sunday with names like Nocella ,Swanson,Pikat and others with 25 plus cars expected to be there on Classic Sunday
