(Marion Center, PA)...The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Series presented by Born2Run Lubricants is excited to announce that Marion Center Raceway has signed on to be part of the Weekly Series program in 2023. The Saturday night 1/4-mile bullring will host 8-10 RUSH Late Model sanctioned events including their first ever Flynn's Tire Touring Series show in 2023. The addition of Marion Center along with Dog Hollow Speedway will provide RUSH Late Model racers a great tandem of Indiana County speedways that are located just 23 miles apart.

Marion Center opened in 1966 and was run successfully by the Potts Family over the years until Randy Reitz took over the operation in 2021. Marion Center held its first and only RUSH Late Model sanctioned event on August 13 this past season as Josh Ferry won the second annual "Snyder/Martz Memorial" over Jeremy Wonderling in the Weekly Series special. Marion Center also hosted their first ever RUSH Sprint Car event on September 10 that was won by eventual Equipment Rental Options Weekly Series Champion Chad Ruhlman.

RUSH member racers competing at Marion Center in 2023 will be eligible for all of the exciting RUSH Championship programs including the National Weekly Series Championship, "Track Pack" bonus program, and the Futures Cup for those eligible racers. These programs combined offer several thousand dollars to the racers for their efforts at their "weekly" speedways. While membership is not mandatory to compete in any RUSH-sanctioned event, membership also includes a $100,000 excess participant accident policy, which is over and above drivers’ health insurance and speedways’ participant accident policy.

The "Track Pack", offers each individual RUSH weekly-sanctioned speedway $2,500 to the track's top six member racers. The 2023 RUSH member champion at Marion Center will earn $1,000 with $500 for second, $400 for third, $300 for fourth, $200 for fifth, and $100 for sixth; this is over and above any additional monies the driver may have earned in the "National Weekly, "Futures Cup" or "Touring" Series programs. "Throughout the years Marion Center has been a track where many of our racers have wanted to compete at," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "This past August they tested the waters with a RUSH Late Model Weekly Series event in the 'Snyder/Martz Memorial' as well as inviting the RUSH Sprint Cars in September. Both of these events were a success and helped set the stage for future possibilities."

"With Dog Hollow's RUSH Late Model car count continuing to grow this past season in just their second year of operation after being closed, it's going to be a it's great to know these racers now have a second night to race for our valuable championship programs close to home," added Emig. "There is no doubt this is going to be a huge positive for the continued development of the RUSH Late Models in this part of the region; the early announcement is also beneficial to allow potential new racers the time needed to get ready to compete. Marion Center will carefully schedule their RUSH Weekly events and they will not conflict with any RUSH Touring Series dates scheduled in the area."
