Travis Oldfield Earns Feature Victory with POWRi NMMRA at Sandia Speedway

Belleville, IL. (5/30/23) Sandia Speedway would once again welcome the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association as Travis Oldfield would ride the wave of winning momentum in the feature event to claim his career second-straight feature win within the series.

Flying onto the smooth surface of Sandia Speedway for night five of the 2023 season would find Robert Marfia and Travis Oldfield earning the heat race wins with Marfia pocketing the event high-point qualifier honor.

Going green with Robert Marfia on the inside and Travis Oldfield on the outside of the front row, Oldfield would appear to be the top talent early in the feature by grabbing the front of the field and not looking back in the twenty-lap main event.

Holding the point for the duration laps to gain his second-straight series win of the season, Oldfield would double-down on career series victory in as many weeks. Pole-starting Robert Marfia would race a close runner-up battle as fourth-starting Michael Fanelli within reach to finish third.

Sixth-starting JR Bonesteel would place fourth as perennial frontrunner Caleb Stelzig would round out the top-five finishers for the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association at Sandia Speedway on Saturday evening.
