Legends Late Model Series
Hearnsberger Tops #LocalLegends in Little Rock!
(LITTLE ROCK, AR) July 10, 2022 – Rick Hearnsberger doesn’t get to race much, but when he unloads anywhere – consider him a threat to win. Saturday night was no different as Hearnsberger led all (20) circuits around the I-30 Speedway from his pole starting position.
After picking up the John R Nelson Trucking & Excavating heat race win earlier along with the #1T of Bryan Glaze, who picked up the Eckie’s DCR Parts heat race, the invert pill was a 2 - essentially just flipping the front row. Advantage or not, the xXx machine wasted little time in assuming the point and checking out on the field.
Series point leader and Eckie’s DCR Parts & Accessories ‘Marked Man’, Chandler Petty, rallied from his eighth starting position to come home in the runner up slot. Petty will roll into the August 6th Diamond Park event still adorning the fluorescent red spoiler and with a slim 22 point advantage over the #16 of Geoff Aitken.
Steven Crocker and his Noel Industries/Steve Heath/Kryptonite came home in third place after his monumental win last week in the Fowler/Blankenship Memorial.
Hard charger, Cole Farmer, in his #26 Farmers Tree Service/Odell Chase/Rocket XR1 came home in 4th after advancing all the way from his 12th starting position and his teammate Dustin Holmes and his Arkadelphia Gun & Pawn/Odell Chase/Rocket #24 rounded out the top 5.
Sixth through tenth went to #48 Alan Brown, #16 Aitken, #1T Glaze, #72 Wesley Wise, and #51 Tyler Burnett from Eros, Louisiana.
The series is off for a few weekends and will pick back up on Saturday, August 6th, at the first of two trips to Diamond Park Speedway. The event will feature a full racing card in USRA Tuner, USRA Factory Stock, Sportsman and Arkansas Factory Stocks. Admission is $20 for adults, kids 6-12 $6 and 5 and under are FREE. Pit passes are $36.
