Pair of Top-5 finishes with Southern All Stars at Senoia

Friday night found Wells Motorsports pilot Brandon Overton in action at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) to kick off a doubleheader weekend with the Southern All Star Series. Drawing 24 cars for the Billy Clanton Classic, Overton’s sixth-fastest qualifying effort in his group pinned him 11th on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $3,000 on the line, Brandon gained seven positions in the 25-lapper to finish fourth. He followed Ashton Winger, Austin Horton, and Shane Clanton to the checkers with Dalton Cook coming in fifth.

For the Hence and Reba Pollard Memorial on Saturday, Brandon topped his qualifying group before picking up a heat race win. After leading the field early in the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Overton slipped back to second, where he would eventually finish, trailing Ashton Winger to the checkers.
