Top-10 finish in Colossal 100 opener at The Dirt Track at Charlotte

Drawing a stout field of 47 XR Super Series entries for the four-day event, Ford followed up the third-fastest lap in his time trial group with a second-place finish in his heat. Starting the $25,000-to-win A-Main in sixth, Jensen faded four spots in the 30-lap affair to place 10th.

The following night, Jensen edged his way into the A-Main with the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Earning the 17th-starting position, Ford was credited with a 23rd-place outing after pulling off early.

After wet weather axed Friday’s program, Ford secured his spot into Saturday night’s $50,000-to-win Colossal 100 with a fifth-to-third run in his heat race. Rolling off 13th, Jensen was one of eight cars that retired early.
