Stormy Scott visits Bulls Gap for XR Spring Thaw
Tuesday night saw Stormy Scott return to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the tune-up with the XR Workin’ Man Series.
With 45 Late Models on the grounds for the event featuring a unique format, Scott earned the 16th-starting position for the opener via an impressive ninth-to-fourth run in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Stormy jumped up three spots in the 40-lapper to finish 13th.
Back in action on Saturday afternoon at the 4/10-mile oval after Mother Nature shortened the two-day XR Super Series-sanctioned Spring Thaw 100 to a single day, Stormy’s sixth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into a B-Main for another shot at the $100,000-to-win A-Main. Needing to place second or better, Scott logged a ninth-place outing.
