CHAMPIONS BANQUET SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON PPL STARS
Charlestown, IN (November 4th, 2021) – On October 30th the stars of the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League exchanged their crew attire and fire suits for formal wear for a celebration of the 2021 pulling season at the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League Champions Banquet held at the Downtown Marriott in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to points champions recognized from the Champions Tour (shown), Silver Series, and Ag Protect 1 Midwest Region, special awards were presented to a select group.
The Pull of the Year award was presented to Lucas Oil Speedway, home to the Pro Pulling Nationals in Wheatland, Missouri. Puller of the Year honors went to RJ Simon of Farley, Iowa. Longtime PPL tech and track official Lester Shaw was presented with the John Mumma Ambassador Award while Puller and Promoter Don Slama was recognized with the PPL Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners of the Melba King Scholarship included Brady Ingram, Dustin Penn, Sydney Brown, and Leah Burleson.
