Long, Stacey, White, and Wiederhold Claim Top Honors at Western Illinois Pro Pull

Charlestown, IN (August 10th, 2022) – The Brown County Fair in Mt. Sterling, Illinois hosted four classes from the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League for their Western Illinois Pro Pull event on August 5th, 2022.

The evening kicked off with the Light Pro Stock Tractor division on the hunt for Silver Series points. The Bare Necessities Deere has been on a tear this season, campaigned by JD and Mark Wiederhold. Mark’s run past 324 feet in Mt. Sterling garnered the team another win for the season, their fourth of the year. Scott Webb and the Ragin’ Red IH would finish second and the Blue Unit New Holland of Shane Scott in third.

Nineteen Optima Batteries Super Modified Two Wheel Drive Trucks competed in Mt. Sterling with the points battle heating up. Michael White and the Addiction Chevy were able to come up big under the pressure of competition, taking the win and the lead in points. Jason Sullivan and the Corn Burner Dodge came in second in Mt. Sterling with Misty Nelson and the After Midnight Chevy in third. The fourth place competitor, Jeremy Nelson, leaves Mt. Sterling a scant six points behind White.

ARP Super Stock Diesel Trucks brought their mix of smoke, power, and noise to Mt. Sterling with eight entries. Defending class champ Erik Stacey and the SmokinYa HD Chevy claimed his second win in a row and third for 2022 in Mt. Sterling, followed by another former class champ, Kent Crowder and the Scheid Diesel Dodge, in second. Cody Hastings and the Against the Grain Dodge kept pressure on Stacey’s lead in the points race by taking third in this session.

Ten of the most powerful pulling machines on the planet hit the track in Mt. Sterling to complete the evening as the Big River Steel Super Modified Tractors shook the ground in Mt. Sterling. Keith Long and the Lucas Oil machine continued a recent streak of success with the win at the Western Illinois Pro Pull, followed by another puller and team finding success, Bill Leischner and the Dirtslinger machine. A solid third place from the MAVTV machine of Ricky Long kept him atop the points leaderboard leaving Mt. Sterling.
