Top-10 Finish for Owens in Spring Thaw Warm-Up

Jimmy Owens was back at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) on Tuesday night for the $10,000-to-win Spring Thaw Warm-Up.

Forty-five Super Late Models took to the 4/10-mile oval for the XR Workin' Man Series event. An eighth-place finish in his qualifying group followed by a third-place finish in his heat race earned Jimmy the 11th-starting spot for the feature aboard his Koehler Motorsports No. 20 Longhorn By Wells / Vic Hill Racing Engine entry.

During the 40-lap affair he advanced to a ninth-place finish.
