Clarification for WISSOTA LMs at July 9 ABC WoOLMS Show
Ashland, WI,– The ABC Raceway has released an important clarification with regard to the eligibility of WISSOTA Late Model drivers wishing to compete in the track’s Morton Buildings World of Outlaws Late Model Series special coming up on Tuesday, July 9.
According to Raceway Board president Eric Erickson, following discussions with officials of the WoOLMS it has been determined that WISSOTA-legal Late Models will be allowed to compete in the event at the northern Wisconsin red-clay oval without any special or specific requirements.
“All WISSOTA Late Models are eligible,” Erickson stated early last week. “We want to be clear on this. Both the ABC Raceway and the World of Outlaws series are extending the invitation to all WISSOTA Late Model drivers to come and participate in this very special event, without concern of meeting any licensing or safety requirements.”
The “Red’s Auto Badgerland 50” will offer a track-record $10,000 winner’s check and a minimum $1,000 to start the Late Model feature. Many of the nation’s best dirt Late Model drivers are expected to compete in what should be one of the most prestigious race events in the Upper Midwest. Red’s Auto of Ironwood, MI, is the presenting corporate sponsor of the program.
WISSOTA Super Stocks and Midwest Modifieds will also be part of the show, with the Mid-Mods competing for an enhanced purse thanks to Outlaw Wraps & Apparel of Ashland.
