ONE BIG NIGHT--HAMPEL MEMORIAL & SLMR LATE MODELS HEADLINE ACS JUNE 18TH

This upcoming Saturday night June 18th, is shaping up to be one for the records books at the Adams County Speedway, with not one but three divisions chasing a top prize of over $1,000.

The 1st Annual Gail & Karen Hampel Memorial will headline the show featuring the first of just two visits on the year for the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series (SLMR)-West. Originally slated as a $3,000 to win main event Presented by Dirt Track Bank, it has now grown to $3,500 to win thanks to a $500 Winners Bonus from Always Race Day. One year ago Norfolk, NE driver Tad Pospisil topped a field of 29 cars to score the SLMR win at ACS followed by Andrew Kosiski and former ACS Champion Kyle Berck.

For many this is a long awaited and well deserved tribute to ACS Promotors Gail & Karen Hampel. The Hampel's promoted the 1/2 mile facility for 25 years and were instrumental in many of the facility upgrades over the years in their working partnership with the Adams County Fair & Racing Association. A special thanks goes out to the Hampel Family as well as they have graciously agreed to cover the entry fee for all pre-entered late model drivers.

Also added to the card will be the "Underdog 22" for the Modifieds Presented by Drei Hampel and Underdog Design & Drawing a leading graphics design business based in Stanton, IA. The main event will feature a 22 car field, going 22 laps for a top prize of $1,022 and $125 to start.

Not to be outdone, the Northland Oil Stock Cars will also be dueling it out on the 1/2 mile with the winner taking home an impressive $1,050. A big thanks to Hulett & Sons Auto Salvage of Creston for adding a $500 winners bonus, to go along with $350 in added money that is being distributed among drivers finishing in 1st thru 6th in the final run down from Always Race Day.

With the added bonus money in place both the Modified and Stock Car portions will be full draw/re-draw shows. ACS Track and NASCAR points will also be on the line.

Also competing on the big stage this weekend will be the O'Reilly Auto B-Mods and Chat Mobility Hobby Stocks, both running regular weekly shows with weekly formats and Track and NASCAR Points. Drivers in all 4 support classes will be required to have a NASCAR License or Temporary license which can be obtained for just $25 at the track.

Gates will open at 5:00 pm with Hot Laps at 6:30 pm and late model qualifying getting the action started at 7:00 pm.
