Nostalgia Tour at Airborne
PLATTSBURGH – The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour is set to make their second appearance in as many years at the Airborne Park Speedway on Saturday night.
In addition, the Egglefield Ford 358-Modifieds, Poirier’s True Value Sportsman Modifieds, Ernie’s Discount Tools Super Stocks, Mini-Mods and Strictly Stocks will all be in action for regular distance races in the event presented by Parker Chevrolet.
Post time is slated for 7 p.m. with grandstands opening at 5 p.m. Admission prices are set at $12 for adults with kids 12 and under free of charge.
The season is quickly winding down and divisional point leaders will need to stand their ground.
2018 Modified challenger, Steve Bernier leads defending champion, Chris Raabe by 30 points. Both drivers have collected three wins on the year, but Bernier has been more consistent.
Five-time Sportsman champion, Nick Heywood is seeking his first championship on the dirt surface. Heywood leads racing veteran, Bucko Branham by 50 points. Heywood and Branham both have two wins a piece in the season standings.
Brent Jarvis is looking to defend his Super Stock title with his 44-point lead over Tylor Terry and Jim McKiernan. Terry leads the division with five wins on the year.
Josh Laporte is the Mini-Mod point leader, holding a four-point advantage over Cam Gadue. Shawn Walker is in control in the Super Stock division with six wins and a 24-point lead over Caleb Tourville.
