Northfork Custom Meats Night

A few new cars in victory lane and a rain free evening provided a great night of racing for the Back to School Kids Night at the Arlington Raceway. Aric Rolf once again pulled off the EZ Wash & Storage Truck Cross feature. He started 10th and by the 3rd lap he had the lead. Josh Compton also moved through the field with him but lapped traffic got in the way and Rolf had clear sailing for the win. Compton took 2nd and Dustin Theuringer took 3rd.
Ben Davis took the lead at the start of the Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby Feature but was only able to lead one lap as the 18 of Taylor Manderfield who had started a row behind was able to take over the race when a yellow flag came out for the 8 of Joe Domeier when he spun in turn 4. At the restart, Manderfield took off and Nick McConnell followed him and tried furiously to catch him. On the 6th lap another yellow occurred when Scott Porter spun out. This time on the restart, Chad Volk got by McConnell and the two raced each other side by side as Jonathan Schroeder was also in the mix. Lap by lap Jordan Robinson passed a car as well. The top 5 cars were all vying for that top spot but in the end, Manderfield held on for the win with McConnell and edge ahead of Robinson and Dan Probst took 4th but forgot to go to tech and Schroeder ended up in the 4th place spot.
A short field of cars, Gary Schumacher led the entire Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact feature with the 29x of Jason Bolte behind him. With only one lap to go, Bolte fell back and Justin Dose got by him along with Alan Lahr at the same time.
Dan Eckblad was successful once again in the eXmark Outlaw feature taking the lead from Karl Hewitt on lap 7 and holding on for the win working around lapped traffic. Hewitt held on for 2nd and Mark Oestreich who had started 10th took 3rd.
Hunter Hanson had some bad luck in the Rice Companies IMCA RaceSaver Sprint feature as he had a commanding lead and on the 4th lap, his motor expired coming out of lap #4 and driving to the infield ended up in a water hole off the front straightaway. Hannah Graff then took the lead on the restart and behind her Brett Allen and Matt Johnson were racing side by side and trading places, Allen got by him and had his sights on Graff but it was Graff taking the checkered first with Allen following and Johnson in third.
There were three different leaders in the Arlington State Bank IMCA Northern Sport Modified feature and close racing throughout the entire 15 laps. The early leader was Tony Stephensmeier, on the 3rd lap Joey Reimers got around him and took over the lead by a few feet. Lap by lap the two went around the track like that. On the 10th lap, a tire was hit in turn #4 causing a yellow flag. That gave Zach Davis an opportunity and on the restart, he was able to get by Reimers. A lap later Reimers pulled into the pit with troubles. Davis led the following 5 laps with Matt Looft who had started in 12th place taking 2nd and Jeff Lloyd taking 3rd just inches ahead of Stephensmeier.
The B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock feature was once again a great race as the race went green white checkered with 23 cars. AJ Zimmerman dominated the race except the last 3. There was two and three wide racing the distance. Matt Looft who had started 10th used the bottom side of the track for the pass in turns 3 and 4 and took over the lead and win. Zimmerman held on for 2nd with Dan Eckblad taking 3rd but was later moved back two spots for shock extensions giving Dakota Robinson 3rd place.
The Ottomotive Tire & Repair IMCA Modified feature saw several yellow flags throughout the race. Paul Burger was the early leader but by lap 11 he fell back and drove into the pit area with troubles. That gave the lead to Trent Loverude who had started 8th. He led the remaining laps with Clint Hatlestad following him to the checkers and Dan Menk right behind him.
