Dancer Earns Top Five at Waynesfield Raceway Park and Looks Toward Busy Week of Racing

Inside Line Promotions – WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (July 10, 2018) – Shawn Dancer raced at Waynesfield Raceway Park a week ago Tuesday when he ran double duty with the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series Presented by Ohio Logistics and the NRA Sprint Invaders.
“We qualified seventh with the NRA Sprints,” he said. “That started us second in the heat race and we finished second. We lined up fourth in the feature and that’s where we finished. Overall not a bad run for the 360ci.”
Dancer also qualified seventh quickest to open the FAST Series competition. He started second in his heat race, which he won. That landed him a third-place starting position in the A Main.
“We really missed the setup for the 410ci,” Dancer said. “We dropped back to 10th so we weren’t too pleased. It was a really busy day for us and it might have just been too much.”
Dancer returns to action on Tuesday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, for the Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic before competing Thursday through Saturday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, for the 35th annual Kings Royal with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
“The Kings Royal is always a great event that we look forward to,” said Dancer, who made the feature on Thursday night last year. “We want to keep improving on our results each time we race these big events.”
