New Goals, New life
Friday night, we made our last appearance at the Beatrice Speedway for awhile. Everyone's question is hobby stock, sport mod, answer is, Sport Mod. I'm really enjoying the move up the racing ladder and feel its best to continue in this direction. Jumped out to an early lead for the A feature and had built about a 1/2 lap lead til the caution came out. Borgman got by me and made it a heck of a race but came up a little short and had to settle for 2nd. Feel real good about how I went out with my last night of racing at Beatrice. Gonna miss all the great fans that I've been lucky to have support me there. Decided to go ahead and take the Sport Mod to Eagle Raceway Saturday night and race it there before we left on Sunday. Passing on the high side of turn 3 and car came up and we ended up with some damage and bent parts but got 4th and made it to the A feature. Started 12th in the Feature and dodged a huge pile up 1st lap and ended up 3rd in the Feature. Truly enjoy the atmosphere of the Eagle Raceway experience, no one puts on a show like this place and I plan on getting back here again soon to race some more Saturday nights, this really is Americas Race Track. Thank you Ivan and Jean and we will stay in touch, you both are like another set of parents. Got up early and had to do a few things and loaded up some clothes and things I needed to get started in Iowa and then went and got Layne from my Mom and we headed for Iowa. Happy and sad moment for me, excited for the chances it gives me with Layne but sad cause I am leaving behind some really good family and friends. Made it to Stuart and we ended up with a 3rd place in the feature there, was really a blast racing the Stuart race track so this one will most likely be a weekly thing if we can work it all out. The #1 question has been, wheres the hobby stock, talked it over with my family on Friday night and I really want to continue to move up with this Sport Mod class, the hobby stock class has been a blast but I want to move up and try and race with some new people and learn all I can about this class. I will continue with all I can with the JetStrong cause no one knows it better than I but I will be a double asset to John and Jet Racing if I can continue to learn and advance with these Sport Mod chassis. I believe in Jet Racing, my move has not changed that one bit. If I can keep going in the right direction with my racing, John at Jet will be fine with this I'm sure. I cant thank Jamie and Twana Songer enough for reaching out to me and offering me a job, we've had our differences but they have shown me nothing but concern and friendship and it means a lot to me and to what it means for Layne, I will try my best to not let you down. Also Andrew Burg and Bets, you have opened your home to me and that is something most wouldn't even consider, again, thank you and I will do my damndest to not over stay my welcome. I always have known that racers are the best kind of people and you've all shown that to be true. So here we go and now we see what Layne and I can do in Iowa, ought to be interesting!!!
