Bloomington Super Stocks Points Title To Jamey Wilson
September 28, 2017, Bloomington, Indiana – Seymour, Indiana’s Jamey Wilson scored three super stock feature victories to earn Bloomington Speedway’s 2017 division championship. Compiling an amazing record of three wins and two third place finishes in five events, Wilson topped Steve Peden by just 10 points in the final standings.
In earning second in the final points, Peden tallied a remarkable three consecutive second place finishes, a third and a fourth in the five events. Jason Hehman ranked third with four top-5 results, including back-to-back second place finishes in the last two races. Steve Hollars’ three top-5 finishes in the five races was good for fourth in the points. Jack Frye, Aubrey Eagan and Levi Ray Godsey had similar results, four top-10’s with one top-5 in five events, and Frye edged Eagan by a single point for fifth in the final points, while Godsey was seventh, just five points further back.
The only other driver to win a super stock main event was Josh Divine, who claimed the only two races not won by Wilson. Divine competed in four of the five feature events to earn eighth in the standings. Chip Slagle and Travis Todd completed the top-10 in points.
