Rowdy Day Is Top Qualifier After 2 Rounds of Heats at 2nd Annual Billy Melton Memorial

GREENWOOD, LA – The 2nd Annual Billy Melton Memorial kicked off with 2 rounds of heat races for the LED4Life Limited Modifieds, heat race action for the Granger Equipment Factory Stocks, and full shows for the FWDs and Sportster divisions. After 2 rounds of Limited Modified Heat Race Action Rowdy Day of Greenville, TX took home the Top Qualifier honors. The top 6 in passing points from Friday night are locked into Saturday evening’s $5,087 To-Win Main Event. Rounding out the top 6 were Chris Henigan, Stephen Guidry, Skeet Amason, Tracy Denby Jr., and Justin Whitehead. Those 6 drivers will redraw for their starting position in the Main Event on Saturday night.

In Factory Stock action it was Justin Whitehead who took home the top qualifier honors as he was the top passing point receiver after all the heat races were complete. The Top 12 cars are all locked into Saturday night's $1,587 Main Event, with the Top 6 redrawing for their main event starting positions. In FWDs action it was Jackson Gallagher taking home the victory and Chris White taking home the victory in the Sportsters.

Tonight at 8:00 PM the 2nd Annual Billy Melton Memorial continues with last chance and feature races for the Limited Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and a Full Race Program for the Frazier Accounting Crate Late Models, and Pro Mods. Pit Gate Opens at 5:00 PM and General Admission at 6:30 PM.

General Admission $20, Kids 6-11 $10, 5 and Under Free. $35 Pit Pass
