Dillard bags STSS Title, Six Repeat Winners Find Victory Lane Again

GREENWOOD, La. (September 10, 2022)

Saturday's Advanced Powder Coating Weekly Racing Series featuring the Short Track Super Series Cajun Region is in the books!

A new record car count for Sportsters was scored as Chris Weatherford of Longview, Texas picked up yet another victory! It was a fantastic race with three cars vying for the top spot throughout most of the feature! John McCune finished as the runner-up with Chris Pegues finishing 3rd.

The LED 4 Life Limited Modifieds Feature was won by Derick Grigsby of Marshall, Texas. Grigsby took over the top spot after Connor Mewborn slipped up while leading. Connor was able to regain 2nd and finished there ahead of his older brother Colby. JD Ammons and Ricky Ingalls topped off the first 5 finishers.

The Short Track Super Series Ollie's Bargain Outlet Cajun Region wrapped up their Day Motorsports Championship Points chase and crowned Caleb Dillard of Many the Series Champion for the 2nd season in a row! Dillard was also victorious in the 25 lap main event. Richard Holt, Alan Myers, Keith Badiali, and Anthony Meek rounded out the Top 5.

The defending track champion Cody Myers of Bossier City notched his 2nd win of the season at the Hill, leading flag to flag for 20 laps in the Granger Equipment Factory Stock Main Event. Chris Burrows tallied second with Dalton Dubois completing the podium.

Haughton native, Garrett Gibson scored his 2nd victory of 2022 at the Hill in the Frazier Accounting Crate Late Model division! David Winslett and Brandon Ball also found themselves in the Top 3.

The ProMods saw Chase Hatton of DeBerry, Texas secure another win on a fairly slick race track. Some good battles behind Hatton throughout the duration of the race concluded with Jason Beasley in 2nd and BJ Cook in 3rd. Trent Humphrey and Jeff Rice were scored 4th and 5th respectively.

And the FWD 4-Cylinders put on the best race of the night yet again! Luke DuPont of Haughton was the Feature winner after multiple fast paced battles with Hunter Armstrong and Jack DuPont. The trio would finish in that order ahead of another duo of youngsters in Conner Cook and Jackson Gallagher.

Drivers are now all geared up for the 50th Annual Louisiana State Dirt Track Championship on September 23-24, which will feature the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series! Don't miss all the action of Boothill!
