Joiner Finishes Second in Bristol 1000
Sunday afternoon found Joseph Joiner entering one of the most unique events that a racer will ever enter. The Cletus McFarland presents Bristol 1000 took center stage at the famed high-banks of Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, where Joseph found himself behind the wheel of a nitrous-powered Crown Victoria.
Joseph hit the ground running by setting fast time to lock into the pole position for the 100-lap event around the 1/2-mile, paved oval.
Joseph led early before slowing his pace to conserve for the closing laps of the event. He slipped back as far as seventh before rallying late. He came up just short of his bid for the win with a second-place finish.
The team had a great time, and greatly appreciates the hospitality from Cleetus McFarland and his staff. We can't wait to do it again.
